Temporary Patent in Armenia
In Armenia, temporary patent registration is a commonly used method to secure the right of priority for an invention. The provisional patent option is a cost-effective approach that enables applicants to apply for a permanent patent within three months, using the priority right obtained through temporary registration.
The key features of temporary patents include their low cost compared to permanent registration, quick processing time, archival of registration with non-publication of registered information, and the ability to obtain the right of priority as mentioned before. This right can be invoked during permanent patent registration in the United States or when filing a PCT application.
Additionally, temporary patents provide the advantage of not losing the possibility of obtaining a patent if the inventor has not disclosed the invention within a year, or if another applicant has not registered it. Furthermore, there is no need to write a claim when submitting the application for temporary registration.
